On Saturday, we drove down to visit my Great Aunt and Uncle in Sarasota. What a perfect day for a road trip! We love Sarasota – what a brilliant City of the Arts!

On the way to Sarasota! I swiped the GPS off of my Harley for the day…

These giant jellyfish were all over the beach. Most were at least 18-20 inches in diameter!!! Someone been feeding steroids to jellyfish?

Go fly a kite! It’s great fun, and a wonderful way to relieve stress. We know many of our clients get a bit frazzled planning their wedding, and a day of simple kite flying at the beach is a wonderful stress reliever, as well as a simple way to put things into perspective. Just walking along the beach during this slightly cool time can do wonders! Pop your favorite hoodie on and get those toesies in the sand. Yes, I am a 43 year old male and used the word toesies. That is what makes me cool…at least that is what my wife says.

We are being published again in a most excellent magazine from Sarasota and the surrounding areas-SRQ magazine. Several photos of Katie and Aaron’s beautiful wedding at the Powel Crosley Museum will be featured in an article due out in the May 2009 issue-watch for it on newsstands in better bookstores and exclusive SW Florida establishments.
Katie and Aaron’s wedding images shot by me were also featured on NBC nightly news not too long ago, and the clip is on the blog.
I arrived at the beach a little early for a Heart Gallery of Tampa Bay shoot, and thought I would play with shooting a few every day objects, and turn them into a bit of art just to pass some time.

Watch out for your poodle!
If you have enjoyed the song ‘Thank You My Friend’ on the main paytonphoto site by my friend Molly Jenson, please make sure to stop by her website and buy her CD! She also has a few more wonderful songs on her Myspace page.
I have just been accepted as one of the few select photographers at photographik-the Elite Photographers Network!
San Antonio Florida, that is. After photographing an engagement session in Tampa, Margie and I took a side trip to San Antonio for some real home style Mexican food at Pancho’s Villa Restaurant. I hadn’t been there in ages, and the short wait was well worth it! They make authentic Mexican food at Pancho’s, rather than the bland anglo version. Good stuff!
San Antonio is right off of highway 52, close to St Leo and Dade City.

The best real and authentic Mexican food in Central Florida!
A pair of Cardinals has made our yard their home, and they placed their nest in a Cameila tree right in front of my office window. I kept hearing the little fuzzball peeping after she hatched, and could just see that giant beak peeking above the nest as she chirped to be fed. Today I was lucky enough to get a good look at her as she made her first trip out of the nest!

Too cute, isn’t she? (at least I think it’s a she!)
You may have noticed the new song on the website. That is ‘Thank You My Friend’ by the incredibly fabulous and soon to be very famous Molly Jenson! Check out her website here, and pick up her CD-highly recommended listening!
I do believe that Allison lost any predisposition toward being camera shy while shooting her bridal session… A big thank you to her wonderful family and friends for helping out!

After covering a few assignments over the weekend, we thought we would take a break, and head over to the Tampa Bike Fest at the USF sundome. There were some amazing entries in the Master Builder challenge inside, and the stunt show outside was great!
